Despite the profound crises in the Agric sector, Nigeria, still maintains number one position, among the top 10 agricultural countries in Africa, based on the value added to their economies from agriculture:

1. Nigeria With a value added of $104.37 billion in 2020, Nigeria tops the list
2. Egypt Egypt ranks second, with a value added of $42.25 billion in 2020 ¹.
3. Ethiopia Ethiopia’s agricultural sector added $38.16 billion to its economy in 2020.

4. Kenya: Kenya’s agricultural sector contributed $23.28 billion to its economy in 2020.

5. Algeria: Algeria’s agricultural sector added $20.49 billion to its economy in 2020.
