Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has initiated the upgrade of the Eruwa Farm Settlement, a project aimed at creating thousands of jobs for youths in the Ibarapa region.

The initiative is part of his administration’s broader strategy to drive economic growth and tackle unemployment through agribusiness development.

Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Governor Makinde highlighted the transformative potential of the project. The upgrade will equip the settlement with modern infrastructure and facilities to support farming activities, turning the area into a leading agribusiness hub. This transformation is expected to not only generate employment but also boost food production and stimulate economic activities across the state.

In a further demonstration of his commitment to regional development, the governor announced the release of N2 billion for the construction of the Ido-Eruwa road.

The road project is expected to improve connectivity, enhance trade, and support the economic viability of the upgraded farm settlement and surrounding areas.

Governor Makinde reiterated his administration’s dedication to implementing projects that have a direct impact on the lives of Oyo State residents, particularly in underserved communities.
