Nigeria, Brazil Partner to Boost Agribusiness Across 774 LGAs

Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brazil to support agribusiness development across the country’s 774 local government areas over the next five years.

The agreement was signed by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS) and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), a leading institution in Brazil.

The collaboration aims to provide technical and financial resources to one agribusiness in each local government area, fostering sustainable agricultural development and entrepreneurship.

Under the initiative, agribusinesses will receive tailored technical assistance and financial support to enhance their productivity and profitability.

The program is expected to stimulate rural economic growth, create jobs, and boost food production across Nigeria, addressing key challenges in the agricultural sector.
