The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reiterated his commitment to fostering development in Chanchaga Local Government Area (LGA) as part of his administration’s drive for equitable growth across the state.

Governor Bago recently presented a N1.5 trillion budget proposal to the State Assembly, themed the “Budget of Hope for Sustainability and Food Security.” The budget signals his administration’s focus on agriculture as a cornerstone of the state’s economy while laying the groundwork for rapid socio-economic progress.

Infrastructure Development: Plans for a 44-kilometer road construction from Lemu to Kateregi to enhance mobility and access to essential facilities.

Agriculture and Food Security: Programs like Niger Foods aim to position the state as a leading food producer.

Education and Healthcare: Investments in schools, hospitals, and other essential infrastructure to improve citizens’ quality of life.

Economic Empowerment: Efforts to support local businesses, entrepreneurs, and farmers to stimulate job creation and economic growth. Governor Bago’s administration is currently executing 50 projects across the state, further demonstrating his commitment to development.
