Sunday Igboho Challenges Tinubu over killing of Farmers

A Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Igboho is seeking President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in the killing of three farmers – Aderoju Mukaila, Olawuwo Saka, and Ojeniyi Ojebayo – in Igboho, Oyo State. The farmers were allegedly killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen after they resisted the destruction of their farms by grazing cattle

Igboho is urging the Federal Government to take urgent action to address the escalating insecurity in rural communities across Oyo State and the South West, warning that failure to act could trigger avoidable conflicts and widespread chaos. He demands the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the attacks and calls for security agencies to deploy actionable intelligence to prevent further violence

The incident highlights concerns about the activities of rogue herders, bandits, and hoodlums who have infiltrated rural settlements and forests in the South West, Kwara, and Kogi states. Igboho’s appeal to President Tinubu underscores the need for effective measures to tackle insecurity and protect lives and property in the region.
