UK Investors Urged to Tap into Nigeria’s Agricultural Potential

The Federal Government is calling on UK investors to explore opportunities in Nigeria’s agricultural sector, highlighting the country’s diverse agro-ecological zones and competitive production capabilities. Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, made the appeal at the Nigeria-United Kingdom Investment Forum in London.
With climate change posing significant risks to Nigeria’s agricultural productivity, the government is prioritizing climate-smart farming and sustainable production. Initiatives include solar-powered irrigation pumps, climate-resilient seed systems, and the National Agricultural Mechanization Programme.
